Fred Lara is a partner and heads HealthCare Appraiser’s Philadelphia office. His practice focuses on compensation valuation for compliance with Federal and State regulations.  His specialized expertise encompasses several compensation valuation practice areas including: management – burn care, wound care, sleep medicine, collections guarantee/subsidies, call coverage, medical director, employment/PSA, MSO, dialysis, lithotripsy, pathology, perfusion and intraoperative monitoring, in addition to life sciences/HCP valuation and not-for-profit executive compensation.

During his more than sixteen years experience in healthcare valuation, he has valued a wide variety of healthcare facilities including radiation oncology centers, ambulatory surgery centers, diagnostic imaging centers, and physician practices.

Previously he worked for a private equity consulting firm, facilitating capital-raising efforts (equity, senior and subordinated debt) by providing financial modeling and transaction due diligence functions.  Before that, he worked for a corporate development advisory firm focused on middle-market companies and was responsible for conducting valuation and on-site due diligence related to physician practice and service company acquisitions.  He began his career as a Securities Compliance Examiner with the SEC.

Mr. Lara is active member of the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA), he served as FMV Affinity Group Chair.  He is a CFA charterholder, an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).
